Not getting any subscribers or viewers for your webinar, is every organizer's biggest fear. But if you promote your webinar well, you don’t have to worry about these things.
There are different tools you can use for your promotion. Such as email campaigns and social media posts. But there is also a more unexpected, but very powerful tool that you can use to really boost your reach and let people know about your webinar. You may already be using this tool. We are talking about blogging!
Obviously, it takes more than a day to build yourself a webinar audience. But if you already have a blog, it can be a very effective tool. So use your blog to get more new and existing clients to watch your next webinar.
In this article, we describe five ways to use your blog to expand your reach.
1. Blog about the upcoming webinar
One of the most obvious ways to use your blog is to write about your webinar. This way you promote your webinar, which can generate more registrations. Start blogging about your webinar as soon as you have started creating its content and visuals.
Some webinar hosts use their blog posts as teasers. They give their reading audience a sneak peek at what to expect during the webinar. You could blog about the ‘problem’ you are tackling during your webinar, and how watching can help your audience solve this problem.
2. Blog with and about your co-presenter
Write an informative post about your guest speakers or co-presenters. You can tell your audience about their references, subjects they are going to talk about and their previous experience in the field. Just having a branch authority speak, for instance, can be enough to enhance the number of viewers of your webinar.
Don’t forget to ask your guest speakers to write about the webinar themselves. That way you can reach a completely new audience. Something that would not have been possible without guest speakers.
3. Write a blog post about previous webinars
Another way to use your blog to help your audience grow is to write about previous webinar topics. The main benefit of doing this is the fact that you already have a lot of content that you can use. Use some slides from a presentation, for example.
Just like when writing a blog post before a webinar, you shouldn’t give away too much information in a post about a previous webinar. Make sure to write content that’s interesting enough for readers to click on newer webinars that you’re organizing. Or to a replay (if you have one available).
4. Give readers a special offer
We all like to receive something extra! You can create a special offer for people who have registered for your webinar through your blog. Or for readers who have invited someone else to participate.
5. Use short videos in your blog
Why not use some clips from previous webinars? This is an effective way to stimulate your audience to register next time. You can use clips that, for example, demonstrate products you’re selling. Short educational videos are a very effective way to get people interested in future webinars.
