In December we’ve been hard at work on improvements like full-screen webinars, language selection, improved recording, and high-quality webinars. Viewers can now check out the webinar in full-screen mode, it’s possible to create webinars in new languages, and much more…

Full-screen webinars

We often got the question if it’d be possible to view a webinar in full-screen mode. This need got increasingly stronger because participants joined webinars on smaller and smaller screens more often. For example, on a mobile device. Viewers can now press the full-screen button themselves to view the webinar in full-screen mode. Read more about this option here.

Language options

When creating your webinar you can now choose between Dutch and English. All templates from the webinar will be created in this language. That means more user-friendliness for the viewer because they won’t accidentally encounter words in a strange language.

Improved recording

You can now dynamically adapt the size of your camera and/or slide in side-by-side mode. Choose how large the webcam will be, or how much of the presentation will be visible. This can only be configured beforehand and cannot be changed during the webinar. Read more about it here.

Higher quality webinars

You can now configure video quality manually. Click on “Camera and microphone settings” before going live to do this.

Set up quality of the stream interface

Our system checks automatically which quality will deliver the best results on the basis of the available bandwidth and the stability of your internet connection.

The higher the quality, the more bandwidth is required to deliver a high-quality stream for the viewers. That means that especially the stream will be as smooth as humanly possible.

Of course, it’s up to you to stream in HD if you’d like to do so. We advise testing this thoroughly beforehand. Always perform tests in a similar setting to a live webinar. Using the same internet speed and the same hardware configuration.

Other improvements

  • When downloading a recording as an MP4 file, it will be more compatible with video players and editors.

  • When adding a moderator or co-presenter you’ll now get two links: one for testing and one for the live webinar. We implemented this to ensure nobody enters the wrong type of webinar environment. This makes testing even easier!

  • You can now also insert YouTube URLs in their shortened format (youtu.be instead of youtube.com) for video injections.

  • The option to poll the opinion of viewers during the webinar using the hand emote is now more easily visible on mobile devices.
