The internet provides countless options to promote your webinar. That’s great of course. And it can be a lot of fun to let your creativity flourish, creating all types of awesome posts and messages. But there’s also a flip side to having endless possibilities. It can cause you to feel overwhelmed and not know where to even start.
Don’t worry, we’re here to help. In this article, we explain five online promotion options. Then you can decide which one is best for your target audience. Or you can use more than one. It’s up to you!
We all know Facebook. It’s often used as a private network for family and friends. Content that you see on Facebook is mostly posted by people and pages that you’ve actively decided to follow.
Did you know that you can also create a business page on Facebook? With this page, you make sure customers and fans can find your business on Facebook. You can use your business page to promote your webinar as soon as you have followers. And you can even take it a step further because Facebook offers the possibility of postpaid ads (called Facebook Ads). By doing this, you expand the reach of your message immensely.
It is important, though, that you post a good-quality ad.
Another effective platform you can use for your webinar promotion is LinkedIn. It’s a business medium for people and companies. A LinkedIn network consists of business relations. You can view it as a type of online resume. LinkedIn is very suitable for sharing business content and for businesses that sell business-to-business. So, if your clients are businesses, you should definitely consider promoting your webinar on LinkedIn.
X
X is a social networking service that people who do or don’t know each other use to like each other’s posts and follow each other for that reason. A message that is shared on X spreads fast. The platform is used both for business and private, which makes it a great channel for the promotion of any type of webinar.
Also very popular is Instagram. This social media platform is very different from the others because it relies on visual content, such as videos and pictures. It’s not meant for written posts. The reason why Instagram is so popular is that people are visually oriented by nature. That’s why it’s easier to look at an image than to read a text.
When you decide to promote your webinar on Instagram, make sure you use an image that suits your webinar and add a short text with a link to the registration page.
If you want, you can link your Instagram account to other social media, such as X and Facebook.
Website
So far, we have talked about social media channels. But your own website is also a great way to promote your webinar. Write a blog post about your webinar and/or post a call to action asking people to register!
